Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Gannondale! What a great Luminaria Night...and how about the rain and sleet that showed up (almost on cue) after the event ended? A close call...

The balmy weather allowed many of us to follow a very talented group of University City High School musicians (under the direction of their teacher, Daniel Shavers) around Gannondale as they treated us to renditions of holiday classics.

Thanks to all for your help and support. I especially want to thank Meri Ellen Taylor for coordinating the high school musicians...they did a great job! Also, Greg and Sharyn Koob for donating the luminarian paper bags and for the use of their garage on pick up day.  Members of this year's Luminaria Night team also included Don and Lori Adair, Bob and Nancy Baglan, Robin Hattori, Susan Furdek and Chris Scheele.

The Gannondale Neighborhood Association made about $450.00 in profits from the event.

Happy Lunar New Year of the Ox to all!
